GVSU Captures 14th Learfield Directors' Cup Title

The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) announced today that Grand Valley State captured the 2021-22 Learfield Directors' Cup title with 1,013.00 points in the maximum number of 15 sports. The Lakers' 14 Directors' Cup crowns is a Division II record and GVSU has also finished among the top two in the final standings each of the last 19 times the trophy has been presented. West Texas A&M finished second (862.25), Indianapolis third (844.5), Queens (NC) fourth (747.50) and Azusa Pacific fifth (719.0) in the final standings. Among fellow GLIAC members, Wayne State finished 22nd (481.50), Saginaw Valley State 23rd (480.0) and Ferris State 57th (313.00). GVSU, which has eclipsed the 1,000-point mark nine times, is the only school to reach the 1,000-point total.
