Marin Halvorsen takes top honors at UW-Whitewater Spring Invitational

Janesville, Wis. – Marin Halvorsen built an impressive lead in Friday's first round and needed every stroke of it to win her fourth tournament of the season. The Thunder senior topped the leaderboard by one stroke as the women's golf team placed eighth at the 13-team UW-Whitewater Spring Invitational. This weekend's tournament was Wheaton's penultimate circuit of the season. Wheaton will wrap up its schedule when the Thunder open competition in the CCIW Championships on Thursday at Oak Brook Golf Course.
