[Men's Golf] Bennett Guides SXU Men's Golf at Flyer Invite

Lemont, Ill. – Senior Marty Bennett (Evergreen Park, Ill./Moraine Valley/Brother Rice) shot a career-low of 75 on day one and shot a 79 in round two for the Saint Xavier University men's golf team at the Flyer Invitational held at Dubsbread Golf Course at Cog Hill in Lemont, Ill. Bennett's two-day score of 154 (+10) tied him for 16th place individually out of a field of over 60 golfers. The Cougars had a team score of 668 (+92), placing seventh out of nine teams. Bellevue University (Neb.) won the team title, shooting -3 as a squad and won by 22 strokes. The Bruins also had the top-three finishers, including the individual winner Rodrigo Navarette who shot -4 (140).
