[Men's Golf] Furlong Takes First; SXU Men's Golf finishes Second at Jaguars Fall Invite

Frankfort, Ill. – Senior Michael Furlong (Evergreen Park, Ill./Brother Rice) won the Jaguars Fall Invitational with a score of 72, the only player to make par, for the Saint Xavier University men's golf team at SPC Green Garden Country Club Wednesday afternoon in Frankfort, Ill. The Cougars placed second out of six teams finishing 19 shots behind University of St. Francis (Ill.) with a team total of 325. Furlong won by two shots and is the first SXU golfer to win an event since former standout and head coach James Kerr (2012-14) won the Olivet Nazarene Invite on September 25, 2012.
