[Men's Golf] Sutherland named to KCAC Men's Golf second-team

WICHITA, Kan. – In their first year of competition since the 2015 season, the Friends University Falcon men's golf program has an All-KCAC selection, as freshman Trenton Sutherland has earned second-team honors. Most recently, Sutherland was the Falcons' top finisher at the Prairie Dunes Collegiate. (Apr. 4). The Arkansas City, Kan. native came in tied for 30th overall (76-75-151) at the event in Hutchinson, Kan.Sutherland broke out in the fall season, winning KCAC Men's Golfer of the Week (Oct. 18) after coming out on top individually for the second time. He bested 85 other golfers with a two-day total of 73-70-143 in leading the Falcons to their second team title at the Tabor College Invitational."Trent is such a talented player!" said Dustin Galyon, Friends University men's golf head coach and Director of Golf following Sutherland's standout performance. "His short game is outstanding and he is mentally tough. He is a joy to coach and a great leader for our program!"  Sutherland and the Falcons are now set to compete at the KCAC Championship starting today (Apr. 18) at the Buffalo Dunes Golf Course in Garden City, Kan.
