Mustangs flash potential in opening two rounds at the DBU Women's Classic

DENTON, Texas — Midwestern State lacked one thing that every other team had in the 16-team field Monday in the DBU Women's Classic at Wildhorse Golf Club.

A GolfStat national ranking.

But the ranking won't be missing very much longer if the Mustangs continue to perform at the highest level the team has displayed over the opening five rounds of the season.

MSU cobbled team totals of 287 (-1) and 296 (+8) to finish tied for fifth through the first 36 holes trailing only No. 2 Lynn (570/-6), No. 13 Henderson State (575/-1), No. 16 Saint Leo (576/E), and No. 15 Tampa (582/+6).
