Spivey Qualifies for U.S. Amateur

MACON, Ga. – Mercer men's golfer Jay Spivey, a senior who played locally while at First Presbyterian Day School in Macon, qualified this week for the 122nd U.S. Amateur. Spivey finished at five-under-par 139 and finished second on Tuesday out of 122 competitors at Statesboro, Georgia. Jay's father Scott caddied for the Mercer golfer at the qualifier.
