[Women's Golf] Bees take second at Quad City Cup

St. Ambrose opened their 2021 season by taking second place at the Quad City Cup, a one-round event hosted by Augustana at the Highland Springs Golf Course in Rock Island, Ill.The Bees were led by senior Maitlyn Sanders, who shot a 78 to finish third overall. Also inside the top-10 was Amara Lytle, shooting an 85 to secure ninth place. Kylie Diana shot an 89 to finish in 12th for St. Ambrose.Kara Williams and Katherine Speer finished within three strokes of each other to finish in 14th and 16th place, respectively. Williams tallied a 91 and Speer notched a 94.Leah Sullivan played as an individual at the Quad City cup, shooting a 92 to finish in 15th-place overall.SAU locked up second place with a 343, one stroke ahead of the third-place Augustana B squad (344). Augustana took home the Quad City Cup with a score of 311.St. Ambrose will next compete in the two-day Highland Classic at the same course in Rock Island, Ill. on Saturday and Sunday.
