A Whole New Level: Freshman Golfer Earns Highest Ranking in Program History

In the spring of 2023, Brecken Franklin walked down the fairway of the 5A UIL State Tournament held at White Wing Golf Club in Georgetown, Texas. At the time, Franklin was a senior on the Montgomery Lake Creek High School Men's Golf team that, after the first two rounds, was in the lead of the Class 5A State Tournament. In the end, Franklin and the Lions captured the title, and after a summer of competition following graduation, Franklin began his time on the DBU Men's Golf team.
