Abijah Jepkemboi of SAU Named Food Lion CIAA Women's XC Runner of the Week

RALEIGH, N.C. (Sept. 13) -– After two consecutive first-place finishes, Abijah Jepkemboi (So./Kapsabet, Kenya) of SAU earned Food Lion CIAA Cross Country Runner of the Week in the conference's first round of weekly cross country honors. Jepkemboi was first in the women's 5K race with a time of 19:46.90 at the Blue Bear Cross Country Invitational. Her win resulted in the Lady Falcons earning a second place overall finish and an individual award for placing in the top ten. This victory came a week before leading the Lady Falcons to win the NC Wesleyan Cross Country Invitational with first-place time of 15:22.30.
