CACC to Celebrate 60th Anniversary During 2021-2022 Seasons
New Haven, Conn. – (8/3/2021) – The 2021-2022 scholastic year represents the 60th anniversary of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). "We are excited to be celebrating another conference milestone anniversary in 2021-2022," announced CACC Commissioner Dan Mara. The CACC was founded in 1961 with its first full athletic season taking place in 1961-1962. An initial meeting of eight schools, arranged and hosted by Norm Wilhelmi, Athletic Director at The King's College (N.Y.), resulted in the forming a new conference that included current members, Bloomfield College and Nyack College, along with The King's College, Dowling College, Marist College, Monmouth College, C.W. Post College, and Southampton College.
