’Cats squarely in the mix midway through RJGA Shootout at Estrella

GOODYEAR, Ariz.—The Chico State women's golf team wrapped up the final round of last week's Birdie Fest Invitational on an encouraging note, posting its lowest team score of the season. The Wildcats succeeded in carrying that positive momentum with them to Arizona, as evidenced by their solid 18-over par 306 during first round action Monday at the RJGA Shootout at Estrella. The 'Cats finished the day in a tie for fifth place, just six shots off the tournament lead at the Golf Club of Estrella in Goodyear, Arizona.
