Christian Babcock Earns Medalist Runner-Up Honors as Soaring Eagles Finish 3rd at Home Invitational

ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Elmira College Men's Golf team hosted the 51st annual Elmira College Spring Invitational at Elmira Country Club on Tuesday afternoon, as the Soaring Eagles finished 3rd of seven teams in the event after posting a team score of 353 (+65) for the day. Christian Babcock '26 would post a team-low 78 (+6) for the round, as the freshman earned medalist runner-up honors just one stroke behind Austin Carpenter of Russell Sage, who finished his round carding a 77 (+5). For Babcock, his round would mark the best of his young career, and seven strokes better than his previous-best (85, +14) which came back on day two of the Oswego State Fall Invitational.
