Christopher Newport Men's Golf Opens Fall Slate With Sixth Place Showing at Gate City Invitational

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Christopher Newport men's golf program opened up the 2023-24 season this week with a 54-hole tournament at the Starmount Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. The Captains finished sixth among the 18-team field with a 875 (297-287-291), shooting 23-over par after three rounds of play. A pair of CNU players finished in the top-20 as veterans Aidan Baron (T14) and Michael Thomas (T19) led the way for CNU.
