Eagles Impress at Klash in Kentucky Netting Third Place; Sturges Finishes Tied for Second Individually

PERRY, Ky. — The Eagles golf team continued their spring season play in Perry, Ky., at the Klash in Kentucky with an impressive showing. The team scored an overall 630, good enough for third place. AU shot a 308 in day two, the second best round of the day. 

Junior Garrett Sturges had his best performance of the season this weekend, shooting a 77 in his first round, and a remarkable 73 in his second round. The 73 on day two from Sturges was tied for the best single round score on the weekend. Freshmen Peter Hoeppner and Gideon Coleman rounded out AU with successful weekends. Hoeppner shot a 76 in round two and Coleman an 80. Transfer Dalton Gibbs also shined in day two with a 79.
