Five Spartans Named WGCA All-American Scholars

Five members of the Michigan State women's golf team have been named Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholars, the organization announced this week. Valery Plata, Yurika Tanida, Paz Marfa Sans, Leila Raines and Valentina Rossi all garnered the honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics as the minimum cumulative GPA  for garnering the honor is 3.50.
