Flanagan, Brown lead Mustangs on opening day at Poppy Hills

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. — Midwestern State's Brecklyn Flanagan was red hot down the stretch Monday afternoon in the Patriot Invitational at Poppy Hills Country Club.

The junior from Murphy, Texas, record birdies on five par-4 holes including four in a five-hole stretch on the Back Nine to finish with a 1-over 71 in the second round.
