[Golf] Men win Bluegrass Fall Classic, women finish second

Georgetown College men's and women's golf teams were not messing around in this early home opener to the fall season. The male Tigers cruised to the Bluegrass Fall Classic championship at Cherry Blossom Golf Course outpacing the closest competition by 24 strokes and just 11 strokes over par with a 587 over two days.The women also played well despite the heat and walking 18 holes, shooting a 675 – seven strokes off the lead for second.Drake Stepter, sophomore transfer from Freed-Hardeman University – won the men's side with a two-day card of 140, including a four-under par day Tuesday. He shot even par to start the tournament. Patrick Oakley, 147, and Michael Brown, 149, also made the all-tournament team.
