[Golf] Men's Golf Competes In First Event

Crete, IL – The RedHawks Men's Golf team took to the links this past Thursday and Friday for their first tournament of the season.  The RedHawks posted a first round score of 312 lead by sophomore Mike Lee (SO/Crown Point, IN) with a round of 75 (+4) placing the team in 4th place going into the final round.  "We had three kids post rounds in the 70s for their first NAIA college experience," stated coach Ryan Bishop.  Freshman Eric Richardson (FR/Chesterton, IN) and Jacob Crowley (FR/Hobart, IN) shot rounds of 77 and 78 respectively. While redshirt sophomore Patrick Howard (FR/Crown Point, IN) posted 82 to complete the scoring. Coach Bishop's message to the team going into Friday's final round was "if we can shoot around the same number tomorrow we should move up the leaderboard."
