[Golf] NAIA cancels spring sport championships

The NAIA announced Monday morning it is cancelling the spring championships, effectively ending the 2020 athletic seasons."This has been a tough journey for everyone, with extremely difficult decisions to be made," said Georgetown College Director of Athletics Brian Evans. "Since Wednesday there have been conference calls for inside the Mid-South and the NAIA."We've had athletic directors and presidents on discussing the best move in this. We've had just athletic director calls. No one wanted to make the wrong decision, but when you think of what this virus can do and how easily it spreads there was no choice. We measured each step to give time for fact finding and information gathering, but at the end of the day these cancellations are the right calls."
