Jacob Cook Cards Career-Low Round to Lead on Final Day

STATESBORO, Ga. – Jacob Cook carded a career-low-tying 6-under 66 and earned a career-best tie for fourth on the individual leaderboard to pace the Kentucky men's golf team on the final day of play at the Schenkel Invitational on Sunday. Cook secured his fourth top-10 finish of the season with his impressive final round score to lead the Wildcats to fourth in the event.

"We are close, so very close," UK head coach Brian Craig said. "I love the trend this team is on even though we didn't quite finish like we wanted today. A 66 from Jacob Cook led the way and was huge from our team captain. We will prepare for a few days and head to the Hootie next week and keep improving."

Georgia Southern won the tournament with a 25-under score. No. 17 Notre Dame finished in second behind a 9-under final round and an 18-under scorecard for the weekend. College of Charleston edged the Wildcats by five strokes for third place.
