Jacob Cook Earns Fourth Top-20 Finish of Season at Pinehurst

PINEHURST, N.C. – Jacob Cook generated his team-leading fourth top-20 individual finish of the season to lead the way for the Kentucky men's golf team at the Wake Forest Invitational at Pinehurst No. 2 this week. Cook earned a tie for 13th and played just 2-over par over his final two rounds. The Wildcats turned in a ninth place showing as a team.

"Without an unfortunate and accidental disqualification for one of our guys in the second round, this would have been a fairly solid performance by the guys," UK head coach Brian Craig said. "The good news is we learned some excellent lessons that will serve this team well going forward. We cannot wait for the Schenkel coming up soon."

Cook led three players among the top 25 on the individual leaderboard that faced one of the toughest tests in golf and blustery conditions throughout the entirety of the opening two rounds. Senior Garrett Wood tied for 22nd, while sophomore Campbell Kremer produced a tie for 24th finish.
