Maiorca's 78 (+6) Headlines Griffins' Second Day at Franklin Pierce University Fall Invitational

Keene, N.H. – (9/13/2021) – Junior Drew Maiorca (Lake Placid, N.Y.) offered Chestnut Hill College's best second-day score at the Franklin Pierce University Fall Invitational, completing the Keene Country Club 18 holes in 78 (+6) strokes. He also finished with the Griffins' top two-day score, totaling 158 (80-78, +14) strokes for a 49th-place tie. He was the only Griffin to finish in the Top-50 as the Scarlet and Gold settled for a 14th place (14th of 14) with a team total of 669 (337-332, +93) strokes. Senior David Schmidling (Hockessin, Del.) scored a 81 (+9) for his second round and tied for 57th with a two-day total of 161 (80-81, +17) strokes. Sophomore P.J. Schulte (Cape May Court House, N.J.) finished 71st (90-85; 175, +31) after his day-two 85 (+13), while junior Jake McCafferty (Pittsgrove, N.J.) placed 73rd (87-92; 179, +35) after a day-two 92 (+20). Senior Ryan Woelfling (Myerstown, Pa.) rounded out the Griffins' five-man side with a day-two score of 88 (+16). He finished the invitational tied for 74th (94-88; 182, +38).
