[Men's Golf] Bearcats Place Eighth at River States Conference Preview

The Brescia University Men's Golf Team wrapped up the Conference Preview Tournament today at the Belterra Golf Club in Florence IN. The Bearcats finished 8th out of 11 teams on the Belterra layout.Ryan Howard (SO, Boonville, Ind.) finished 4th place with scores of 73/74 with the lowest score for a Bearcat. Daniel Steele (SR, Bardstown, Ky.) finished 13th with scores of 77/75. Parker Brown (SO, Henderson, Ky.) finished T30 with scores of  79/81. Jake Jarvis (SR, White House, Tenn.) finished 37th with scores of 83/84. Dakota Jones (SO, Center, Ky.) rounded out the top five for the Bearcats, finishing 41st with scores of 87/84.The Bearcats struggled with the Belterra layout despite having three of the five players from last season's Conference Championship . With key losses in the starting five to begin the season, the team has had a hard time stepping up to make up for these key losses"A lot of hard work in the offseason and better practice habits will be the key to us moving forward and being more competitive," said Head Coach Jason Cox.The Bearcats travel to Huntington University to play on the 25th and 26th this month.
