Men's Golf Finishes 10th at MIAA Championships

MONKEY ISLAND, Okla. – The Newman Men's Golf team participated in the MIAA Men's Championships at Shangri-La Country Club on Monday and Tuesday. Ty Wilson would lead the way for the Jets finishing tied for 37th. Luke Palmowski from Rogers State would be the tournaments overall champion as he would card a 211 over the three rounds including a tournament best 65 in round two to finish 7 strokes better than the next finisher. The Jets would finish in 10th place as a team as they would card a three round total of 972. Central Missouri would take the team championship as their top three finishers would all find themselves tied for 3rd. UCM would finish with a three round total of 874, ten strokes better than second place Washburn.
