[Men's Golf] Hughes, McCarty head Bears' efforts at UPike Invitational

The men's golf program at Shawnee State received strong efforts again from Jordan Hughes and Elijah McCarty as the pair used their consistent efforts to score fifth and 10th place finishes, respectively, in the 44-player UPike Invitational at Stonecrest Golf Course in Prestonsburg, Ky.Hughes, who shot an opening day 72 to sit at even-par, finished off his strong two-day effort by notching a five-over 77, notching a two-day 149 and tying for fifth with Pikeville's Blake Maupin and Centre (Ky.)'s James Folz as a result.McCarty, who shot a one-over par 73 on the opening day of action, posted a six-over 78 en route to finishing with a seven-over 151 and a 10th place finish in the final order.
