[Men's Golf] SSU finishes eighth in Ohio Dominican Kickoff Classic

The men's golf program at Shawnee State, led by top-half finishes from elder statesmen Jordan Hughes and Elijah McCarty, finished in eighth overall in the 12-team Ohio Dominican Kickoff Classic Tuesday evening at the Hickory Hills Golf Club in Grove City, Ohio Tuesday evening.With back-to-back 78s in the one-day, 36-hole event, Hughes collected the highest finish for the Bears, shooting a 14-over 156 to finish in a tie for 24th in the 67-player field. McCarty, who shot an 80 in the opening round, recovered over his second 18-hole trip by posting Shawnee State's lowest round with a 77, and a 15-over 157 for the day to finish in a tie for 31st.
