Men’s Golf to Compete in Four Fall Events in 2021

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky men's golf team will compete in four fall events to jumpstart its 2021-22 season.

"We have been ready to start this new season ever since last spring ended," UK head coach Brian Craig said. "The fall schedule we have put together has a couple of new events on it and it is a fabulous schedule on championship golf courses.

"The highlight is our inaugural SEC Match Play Championship at the venerable Shoal Creek golf course in Birmingham, Alabama," Craig said. "What an elite match event that will be with all 14 SEC teams committed to play. Overall, the guys have had a solid summer of golf but now is the time to step it up a notch and compete in a manner that puts a smile on the face of the Big Blue Nation."

In addition to the SEC Match Play Championship, Kentucky will return to two tournaments from its 2019-20 fall slate in the Island Resort Intercollegiate and the Steelwood Collegiate Invitational. The Wildcats will also add a date at the Old Town Club Collegiate Invitational marking another first-time event.

The spring portion of the schedule will be released at a later date. Postseason action begins at the SEC Championship in April. The NCAA Regional events are set for May 16-18, 2022 with play beginning at the NCAA Championship on May 27.
