[Men's Golf] Trey Kirschner Signs with the Sea Beggars 2021

PASADENA, CA – Trey Kirschner (from Arvada, CO) has elected the Sea Beggar Men's Golf team for Fall 2021.  Trey will enroll for Fall 2021 as part of a class of incoming freshmen who have all shared in a rather unusual college recruitment period.  "Whatever the thing that lead Trey to us (which I believe was God), we are delighted to have him join our family.  Trey plays a very consistent brand of golf, hitting a lot of fairways, and overall solid with his irons.  He will be a welcomed addition and a good team player for our culture.", says Head Coach Josh Ault.  Here is what Trey had to say about his decision, "This recruiting process has been a very interesting ride because of COVID. From not being able to get seen in person, to having spots taken up by extra-years of eligibility, and then the, always troubling, teenage pickiness of where you want to go to school. When I finally committed myself to try and play next level golf the first thing that came into my mind and hasn't left since, is that I wanted to go somewhere warm, preferably California or Florida. Little did I know I would find myself committing to a school in the heart of Pasadena and playing golf right next to the Rose Bowl. I can't wait to get out to California and bring what Coach Ault describes as "boring golf" to Providence."  Trey is right about one thing, the way he plays is boring, but what that really means is predictable, which will help his teammates and coaches breathe easier to know Trey is going to deliver a steady performance and hopefully grow to be a steady man (personally and athletically) for the Sea Beggars in the years to come.
