Mustangs third through opening two rounds at Cardinal Challenge

BEAUMONT, Texas — Midwestern State grew stronger in the second round while playing on the challenge course at the Beaumont Country Club Monday afternoon in the Lamar Cardinal Challenge.

"This is a really nice golf course," MSU coach Jeff Ray said. "I believe the experience of playing here will help. This golf course really tests your short game. They have deep bunkers that are close enough to the greens that they are always in play."
