Record Number of Wolverines Named Big Ten Distinguished Scholars

The Big Ten Conference announced its Big Ten Distinguished Scholars on Tuesday (June 27), with 131 University of Michigan student-athletes earning the distinction for their work in the classroom over the last academic year. The Big Ten Distinguished Scholar honor goes to student-athletes who recorded a grade-point average of 3.7 or higher for the previous academic year. Michigan's 131 Big Ten Distinguished Scholars mark the sixth straight year with at least 70 honorees.
