CLEVELAND, OH — In the opening game of the Cleveland States Holiday Inn Express Invite, Kansas City (2-3) initiated the tournament with a dominant 77-46 win over Chicago State (0-7). Despite the Cougars briefly taking a four-point lead, Kansas City promptly responded and held control after five minutes . The Roos showcased a potent combination of offensive and defensive skills, restricting Chicago State to only 9 points in the first quarter. This assertive performance allowed Kansas City to maintain the lead for the entirety of the game.
