Scavone Breaks School Record, Cards a Seven-Under 63 in Final Round at Western Pennsylvania Intercollegiate; Tartans Take First

The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team concluded play at the 36-hole Western Pennsylvania Intercollegiate on Tuesday. Graduate student Henry Scavone set the school record for the lowest individual round in the program's history with a seven-under par 63 to lead the Tartans. The event was played at Allegheny Country Club and hosted by Wittenberg University. The Cardinal and Gray fired a 281 on Tuesday, tying the fourth lowest single-round team score in program history, for a two-round score of 578 (297-281) to win the intercollegiate.
