Sophia Yoemans Claims Minnesota State Amateur Championship

Mizzou Women's Golf rising junior Sophia Yoemans (Red Wing, MN) clinched the Minnesota Golf Association Amateur Championship at Island View Golf Club (6,029, Par-72)  on Wednesday afternoon after forcing a playoff on the 18th hole. Going head-to-head against Taylor Ledwein of Bradley University, Yoemans parred the second playoff hole to claim her victory. She ended the 54-hole event with a 4-under 212.
