Three Wildcats Inside of Top-25 Heading into Final Round

PINEHURST, N.C. – Despite blustery conditions adding to the test of one of the best courses in the country, three Kentucky men's golfers sit inside the top 25 on the individual leaderboard following two rounds of play at the Wake Forest Invitational at Pinehurst No. 2 on Monday. The Wildcats are in 10th as a team.
 
Sophomore Campbell Kremer fired rounds of 74-74, while graduate student Jacob Cook posted rounds of 78-70 and both are tied for 15th to lead the way for the Wildcats. Senior Garrett Wood is tied for 21st behind rounds of 74 and 76.
 
No team or player managed to finish the day under par as Pinehurst showed its teeth to the field. Clemson ended the day in first at 20-over par, with Duke 11 shots back for second place. East Carolina fired a 32-over par combined which was good for third place. The Wildcats are in 10th with a 48-over-par combined score.
