Union women's golf signs McRee

The Union University women's golf program has signed Lindsay McRee as a part of the inaugural team that will begin play this fall. McRee, a native of Murfreesboro, will enter Union as a freshman and will major in sports medicine.

McRee, at 5-foot-11, prepped at Eagleville (Tenn.) High School where she played four years of golf and basketball. She helped lead her golf team to the district title in 2010 and 2011. McRee was named MVP and all-area four times during her high school career. As a junior, she finished sixth in the 2010 Tennessee State Tournament. McRee then posted a seventh place finish in the state tournament as a senior. She averaged a 9-hole score of 39 as a senior.

Off the course, McRee was a member of the Art Honors Society, was the junior girl representative and senior class secretary. McRee is the daughter of Ken and Gretta McRee of Murfreesboro.
