Wheeling Men’s Golf Sets Single Round Team Record on Day one of Davis & Elkins Invitational

Elkins, W. Va. – Over their first two tournaments of the season, the Wheeling University Men's Golf team had several of their young players getting their feet wet in college golf. That young group went into Day 1 of the Wally Edgell Invitational hosted by Davis & Elkins College and had a historic day through the first 32 holes of competition. The set the new program record in round one of the tournament, shooting a 284 as a team and are on pace to break the record again as rain cut the second round five holes short with three of the five Cardinals sitting significantly under par.
