Women's Golf Drops Season Opener on Tiebreaker

The Missouri State women's golf team tied for first place in its season opener Tuesday (Sept. 13), but Oklahoma City was declared the team champion after winning a scorecard tiebreaker. Leading by two entering the final round at its own MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial, the Bears posted 289, one over par at Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield, to finish at 879 for the tournament. OCU shot 285 Tuesday to rally from four shots back to tie the Bears and claim the title.
