[Women's Golf] Lady Knights place 5th at Brenau

GAINESVILLE, GA- The St. Andrews University Women's Golf team placed 5th out of 10 at the Brenau University Golden Tiger Spring Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Chattahoochee GC in Gainesville, GA.SAU shot a 342 in round one and a 351 in round two to finish four strokes ahead of Truett-McConnell at 693. SAU also finished better than conference teams: Bryan, Union, and Reinhardt as well while Brenau Univ. placed 3rd and Cumberland (TN) won it at 637 (320-317).The women were led by an 8th place finish from junior Lydia Randell (Walnut Cove, NC). She paced the Knights with rounds of 82 and 79 for a 161 (+17) while she was the only Lady Knight to shoot in the 70s all week as well. Southeastern's Valentina Espinosa won the event with a 153 (79-74).Senior Olivia Pruitt (Duncan, OK) then finished 2nd on the Knights and 20th overall with her rounds of 83 and 87 for a 170 while Junior Devon Omar (Grovetown, GA) was right behind her in 22nd place after shooting rounds of 87 and 86 for a 173.Senior Isabelle Sullivan (Fremont, NH) then placed 40th with rounds of 90 and 101 while Freshman Hayley Reed (Concord, NH) was 43rd at 97 and 99 for a 196.The SAU golfers are next in action on April 9-10 for the AAC Spring Conference Championships at the Tennessee National GC in Loudon, TN.
