[Women's Golf] Pruitt Leads Lady Knights at Maryville

ROCKFORD, Tenn. – The St. Andrews University women's golf team competed in the Div. III Maryville College (TN) Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Egwani Farms GC and came away with some quality results.The SAU women finished in 6th place out of 8 mostly NAIA teams. AAC foe Point University (Ga.) was the highest AAC team to finish while Cumberlands (Ky.) won the title with a score of 604 (307-297).The Lady Knights shot 351 as a team in round one and then improved greatly by 26 strokes to shoot 325 in round two, which was the fifth best score of the round to finish at 676, finishing just behind TWU and Montreat.Senior Olivia Pruitt (SR/Duncan, OK) led the Lady Knights with another top ten finish, her second straight, as she shot quality rounds of 81 and 76 for a 157 total score (+13), just ten strokes off the medalist from Point. It was also Pruitt's second straight week with a 157 score as well.Senior Isabelle Sullivan (SR/Fremont, NH) then finished in 21st place as she shot 85 and 82 for a 167, her lowest two-day score in her career and best second round of the fall with an 82. Junior Devon Omar (JR/Grovetown, GA) then placed 24th with rounds of 87 and 82 for a 169.Freshman Hayley Reed (FR/Concord, NH) then shot a career-best 85 in round two improving by 13 strokes from day one to finish in 34th place with a 183 score.Each of the four women all improved their scores in the second round by at least three shots.The Ladies are next in action in February for the spring season.
