[Women's Golf] Women's Golf Closes Out Season

Doane Women's Golf closed out the season at the GPAC Championships on Monday and Tuesday, competing in the final two rounds and placing 11th. The Tigers recorded a four-round score of 1,568 (404-391-398-375).Tressa Bull (SR/Burke, S.D.) posted a four-round score of 350, breaking the school record for a 72-hole score. Bull wraps up her career with an 88.5 strokes per round average, a school-record. She placed 16th in the tournament.Tying for 32nd was Emma Sheaffer (FR/Greeley, Colo.) with a 365 (96-95-89-85). She saw the biggest improvement over the course of the year, averaging an 86.8 strokes per round average in the spring semester in nine rounds played. In eight rounds in the fall, Sheaffer had one round below 90, but in the spring she had only one round above 90.Anna Korte (SR/Grand Island, Neb.) placed 46th with a 425 (107-102-111-105). Hayden Klaus (FR/Bellevue, Neb.) finished in 48th with a 433 (111-109-112-101) and Ivan Lopez placed 49th with a 451 (124-104-113-110).The final round was also the final one for Coach Jeannine Foster, who announced that she was retiring after the season earlier this year.
