Falcons continue to pile up CIAA Player of the Week Honors

RALEIGH, N.C. -– Two Falcon Volleyball team members were honored as CIAA & Food Lion Player of the Week honors as voted on by the conference coaches and administrators.  The Falcons have been honored several times over the past few weeks and continued to add to their accolades in the final week of the regular season as they prepare for the playoff push.

Sydney Moore (Bloomfield, MI, West Bloomfield HS) received the Setter of the Week for the 4th consecutive week establishing herself as one of the best Setters in the CIAA all season.

Madison Jones (Durham, NC, Jordan HS) earned the Offensive Player of the Week for the 2nd week in a row and 3rd time in 4 weeks as she has been nearly unstoppable over the past few games.

The Falcons will host Virginia State on Tuesday at 6:00 pm in the quarterfinal matchup for the CIAA Championship.  SAU is 2-0 against VSU at home and the last time they met in the playoffs was an SAU quarterfinal victory enroute to their 2011 CIAA Championship.
