Men's Golf breaks multiple records as they finish 2nd at The Players Club

YORKTOWN, Ind. – Men's Golf got their year started on a very high note, posting one of their best 18-hole scores ever, and beating last years best round in the first tournament of the year. It was also a tournament of breaking records as the Golden Eagles broke the 18-hole record, the 54-hole record as a team, and the 54-hole record by an individual player. Cornerstone finished 2nd out of 16 with an overall team score of (+7) in a crowded field of teams that are ranked or receiving votes, beating #12 Taylor and four receiving votes teams. #RV Marian won the tournament shooting a team total three under par. Fifth year transfer Erik Fahlen led the way for the Golden Eagles posting scores of 70,69, and 70 (209 -7) to break teammate Isaiah Lowe's 54-hole record. It was the perfect start for a team with high expectations going against good competition. Cornerstone will be right back in action this weekend on September 15 and 16 in the Irish Hills Invite hosted by Adrian at Tecumseh Golf Course.
