Men's Golf finishes fifth in their first spring event of the year

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – Men's Golf competed in their first spring event of the year at the Purgatory Intercollegiate hosted by Taylor University. Battling typical midwest spring conditions, Cornerstone saw some rust in the first round of two as they shot 319 as a team that was led by Isaiah Lowe's 75 (+3). The second round of the day was cut short due to darkness as they got through nine holes. The second nine was completed the next day in which the Golden Eagles saw a 16 shot difference where they came in with a team score of 303. Isaiah Lowe led the way again in round two, this time coming in with a 73 (+1). Cornerstone in total shot 622 (+46) and finished in fifth place. Aurora University finished in first for the tournament where they shot a team score of 598 (+22). Golf will now travel to Kentucky as they will play in the Garn Championship Monday and Tuesday, March 25-26.
