Mustangs use strong finish to advance to face DBU in LSC Medal Match semfinals

THACKERVILLE, Okla. — Midwestern State didn't get off to the best start during the final round of stroke play during the Lone Star Conference Championships Tuesday afternoon on the WinStar Golf Club's Scissortail Course.

The Mustangs, who came into the third round with a four-stroke lead over St. Mary's for the fourth and berth in the LSC Medal Match semifinals, struggled out of the gate and were 7-over par through the first three holes as a team. MSU fell behind the Rattlers by as many as nine strokes.
