[Women's Golf] ANDOV SISTERS TAKE FIRST AND SECOND AT HOME

HESSTON, Kan. – The women's golf team started the Spring season on a high note by competing in the Tabor Invite March 20th and 21st at Hesston golf course. Tabor brought two individuals in Valdisa Andov (JR/Pekanbaru, Indonesia) and Valencia Andov (SO/Pekanbaru, Indonesia ) and went up against 23 players from Bethany, Friends and York which includes the number 1 player in the KCAC. The 20 mph wind on both days proved challenging at an already competitive event. While Bethany as a team won the tournament, the Andov sisters stole the show finishing in first and a tie for second place as individuals. Valdisa Andov picked up her 4th win in a row with rounds of 78 and 80 to win by 3 shots ahead of her sister and the conference champion last year. Valencia Andov continues to improve for the Bluejays firing an 81 and an 80, which proved good enough for 2nd.  In an interview with Valdisa she said her expectations are "to continue my win streak, break my record, and hopefully to win the conference championship in April." This tournament has proved Valdisa is on the right track as she walked away from the invite with the gold. Her sister Valencia was not too far off and walked away 2nd. Coach Mike Jamison is hopeful this will lead to a season for the record books for Tabor Women's Team.  UP NEXT-Tabor will travel to Edmund, Oklahoma and play in the OKC Invite at Gaillardia Country Club on March 27th and 28th
