[Women's Golf] VALDISA ANDOV EARNS HER 6TH VICTORY AT CRESTVIEW

Wichita, Kan. – The Bluejay Women's golf team played short handed, taking only individuals to the Air Capital golf tournament at Crestview South put on by Friends University.  Traveling for the Bluejays were sisters Valdisa Andov and Valencia Andov. The event was a smaller field consisting of 16 girls from Friends University, Oklahoma Panhandle state and Central College. Valdisa Andov (77,79) was the winner for the 6th time this year in 8 tournaments played. Valencia Andov finished in 7th place with a combined score of 177.      Valdisa Andov played well finishing in first place but she was not satisfied with her round saying "I need to stop overthinking things and not complicate the simple shot." Multiple times over the past two days Valdisa got caught over-reading the break on the greens costing her multiple three putts which Valdisa wants to clean up before conference. "My plan heading into the conference championship is to practice reading breaks and working on my speed ratios." Speed ratios are something the Bluejay golf team works on to manage their speed on greens.  WHATS NEXT- The Bluejays will travel to Dodge City to play Mariah Hills Golf Course for the KCAC Championships April 24,25 and 26.
