Women’s Golf Finishes Sixth at Kutztown Fall Invitational

FLEETWOOD – The East Stroudsburg University women's golf wrapped up the two-day Kutztown Fall Invitational on Monday with a sixth place finish at the Moselem Springs Golf Club.

Samantha Young paced the Warriors for the first time this season as the junior carded a two-round score of 184 (90-94) on the par 70, 5,660-yard course. The Sayville, N.Y. native finished 21st in the individual standings after sitting in tied for 15th following Sunday's opening round.

Junior Morgyn Wiley took 31st after firing a 222 (+82) and freshman Abby Beyer finished 32nd with a 245 (+105). Makena Young was 33rd as the sophomore totaled 293 (+153) in the two rounds.  

Alvernia took home the team title as the Wolves notched a combined total of 656 (+96). Kutztown's Brooke Graham captured the individual honors as the freshman fired a 152 (+12) over the two rounds.

Up Next

ESU continues its fall slate on Sunday, October 8 when the Warriors battle Lock Haven at Clinton Country Club. Groups are scheduled to tee off at 1 p.m.
