Women’s Golf Takes Seventh at Husky Invitational

DANVILLE – An action packed stretch continued for the East Stroudsburg University women's golf team with the Warriors taking seventh at the Husky Invitational, hosted by Bloomsburg, on Thursday afternoon from The Golf Course at Frost Valley.

Abby Beyer Young paced the Warriors for the second time this season as the sophomore took 25th place out of 42 golfers after firing a 108 (+35) on the par 73, 5,984-yard course. Beyer recorded a par on hole No. 8, which was a par-3 playing 153 yards.

Junior Samantha Young took 32nd after carding a 113 (+40) and junior Morgyn Wiley tied for 36th with a round of 120 (+47). Round out the finishes for ESU was sophomore Makena Young with a 162 (+89) in 42nd.  

Millersville took home the team title as the Marauders won the tie breaker over Bloomsburg with a +66. Playing on her home course, the Huskies' Ryleigh Faust captured medalist honors as the junior posted an 83 (+10).
