[Women's Golf] Women's Golf Opens 2021-22 Season

*Note – York player was found to have signed a scorecard with an incorrect score, disqualifying her from the meet and leaving York with three players and unable to field a team score (September 1). Below is the release as written prior to the change. Doane Women's Golf opened the season on Friday as they hosted York in the Doane Fall Invite at College Heights CC in Crete. Temperatures were high and accompanied by a constant south wind. The Panthers defeated the Tigers in the team score as York posted a 354 to Doane's 394.For the Tigers, Emma Sheaffer (FR/Greeley, Colo.) posted the low round of the day as she recorded a 92 and tied for 4th overall. Tressa Bull (SR/Burke, S.D.) posted a 94 to place 6th and Anna Korte (SR/Grand Island, Neb.) was 7th with a 97. Hayden Klaus (FR/Bellevue, Neb.) rounded out the team scoring with a 111 and 9th place finish. Macy Due (JR/Cordova, Neb.) was 11th with a 117.Playing under individual status, Sydney Erickson (SO/Pierce, Neb.) recorded a 103 to take 8th overall. Tiffany Carnahan (SO/Fremont, Neb.) shot a round of 115 to place 10th and Ivana Lopez (SO/Schuyler, Neb.) was 12th with a 131.Jessica Li and Makayla Rowan of York tied for first with a round of 87. Jessica Simants was 3rd with an 88 and Riley Stuhr tied for 4th with a 92.Doane will compete in the Mount Marty Invite on September 2-3 for their next outing.
